The 101 Forward Control Land Rover

Able Engineering have been working on 101 Land Rover's for many years and have carried out a number of conversions on these vehicles. We can also carry out repiars to your vehicle at our Loughborough workshop and carry a large stock of spares both new and used.

The 101 Forward Control was built by Land Rover in the 1970s for the British Army. It came in a number of different configurations.

General Service (GS)

Ambulance

Radio Body

Vampire

In standard form they have a Rover 3.5ltr V8 petrol engine and use the gearbox from the classic Range Rover. Although a number of the parts used in the 101 are similar to those used in other Land Rovers from that period, many other items are unique. Axles, chassis, body and some brake components are special to this vehicle.

We are now the largest stockest of 101 Land Rover parts, if you cant find what you require from our online shop please give us a call. UK deliveries are usually next day but we also ship world wide.
